Menindee Adventure Ride - 2019 KTM 690 - Day 2 - Crashed into Kangaroo . .

Part two of this adventure sees the intrepid adventurers travel 500km from Renmark to Menindee, via Danggali Conservation Park.

Riders and bikes :

  • Kristen : Husqvarna 701 Enduro
  • Jak : KTM 790 Adventure R
  • Gerry : KTM 690
  • Bruce : KTM 690
  • Andrew : KTM 950 SE
  • Rob : KTM 1190 Adventure

This was a long day, no fuel stops so we needed to carry extra fuel. I was using an Adventure Moto fuel bladder - the 8 litre variety - and it fitted on the bike perfectly. That with the Rade Garage tank and I had a 500km+ range on my trusty KTM 690 Enduro R.

The ride day went smoothly, apart from me colliding with a kangaroo at around 80kmph. The brunt of the force was felt by my lower leg, which killed the kangaroo outright and left me wondering if my leg was still there. Thankfully, I had my plastic MX boots and knee brace on. Phew. Sorry skippy :(

Lots of faster dirt roads on this day, but I hope you enjoy what footage I have. The next episode will cover the ride from Menindee to Mildura, through the Mungo National Park.

Cheers and happy trails,

Tori
