Vitpilen 701 Dynotune

For something a little different, I took my 2018 Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 - to a bike shop https://ordsmotorcycles.com.au/ for a new set of Bridgestone s22's, and I got a dynotune done also.

The bike put out some good numbers, the tuner (Kev) felt as though the results were very good, linear power and 71 horsepower at the rear wheel, and 50 ft/lbs of torque. Kev owned a Vitpilen 701 for a short period of time (he was setting it up as a race bike) and with a fully exposed airfilter/airbox, power commander 5, and a few other mods he achieved a similar peak horsepower but with better mid-range.

I have modded my 701 with an opened up airbox (not fully open, just a grille for more airflow), a LeoVince LV10 slip on, and a de-cat pipe. I'm also using a Coober ECU which is a plug-and-go piggy-back unit : https://www.coober.eu/product/husqvar...

I have 12,000km on the bike so far, and love it. It's heaps of fun to ride on twisty mountain roads and it punches above its weight with the compact LC4 power plant.

Cheers and happy trails,

Tori
